My name is Rob, English man living and working in the Vendee, France, in September 2015 myself and my husband bought a mobile home on a residential holiday park here, 2 years later we were offered the bar on site, as we knew Brexit was happening and our long term goal was to retire a little early and buy a little guest house in France, we thought, sod it, let’s do it, we both had jobs we could step back into, so on September 1st 2018 we moved lock stock and barrel plus two Maine Coon cats to France.
Last month we gave our notice in that we were not renewing our contract in March 2027.
This is my story of the 9 years running a bar and bistro on a French English semi residential semi holiday semi private camp site.
